i like mountain dew

jay has a new student. he has taught emily to say " i like moutain dew" and then gives her a treat. we have gotten a lot of laughs from this.

the tunnel

the boys found a fabulous place to play. they have played there for hours. it is in the ditch that runs along the front of our yard. the boys really really wanted emily to go in the tunnel with them. she didn't last very long because she got scared because of the "bad guys" hanging in the tunnel.

strike a pose

we just love our turtle that we brought home from texas. he is so funny. here is a pose i caught on camera.

life of the party

jay has always been the one to entertain all of us. i just love that about him. we never have a dull moment with him around. so jay was cleaning out the scout trailer and tried emptying the water coolers. come to find out the water was frozen solid. he tried melting the ice by pooring boiling water into the cooler. then the light bulb clicked and he decided to chizel enough of the ice so we could fit our heads into the ice cube. here is the end result.

i was for sure my brain was going to freeze because it was so cold!!!

new years eve

this year we watched the ball drop at jay's parents house. we had lots of good food to eat. when it was time to ring the new year in we had to make due with halloween noise makers.

frosty the snowman

jay decided that the kids needed to build a snowman. he enlisted the help of the whole family. i had no idea it was going to be such a huge snowman! we used an old laundry soap bucket to make the squares. the kids had a lot of fun. then when frosty fell over colton started crying. poor kid. see my other post for pictures of frosty #2.

jayden's big day

i got to wondering if jayden was ever going to get baptized. we decided not to have it done while we were in texas for the summer because none of our family would have been able to be there. then we were going to have a combined one with his cousin logan on halloween but changed our minds because jay's parents were in new mexico and felt it was really important that they didn't miss it. then we were going to have him baptized with our stake in december but again changed our minds. we decided to make a trip to new mexico for thanksgiving because jay's parents weren't going to make it home. aunt kendra volunteered to arrange a baptism for us.

it was a perfect day and we had such a beautiful program. thanks so much kendra. those in attendance were grandpa and grandma durrant, aunt karen, the price family and cousin kristy.
