New church clothes

On Sunday Colton got to wear his new church outfit. Before we left for church I took a picture of the guys in their white shirt and ties! The boys don't like the clip-on ties and refuse to wear them. Well Jay told them that they could wear one of his if they wanted to. Luckily they had vests to hide the rest of dad's ties.

A child's prayer

The other night Jayden was saying the prayer just before bedtime. In his prayer he asked Heavenly Father to help Barack Obama be a good President. Earlier that day at school he had watched the Inauguration.
Jayden really caught me off guard. Every once in a while he does that. I am so grateful to have such wonderful boys. I love them so much.

Help Wanted

Jay and I are recruiting for our team to go out this summer. If anyone knows of someone that might be interested in installing home security systems let me know. Jay really enjoys working for Platinum Protection. Last year we were in New Jersey and had a lot of fun. We spent time at the pool, did some sightseeing, met new friends, got to eat out at some really good restaurants and attend office parties. The pay is really good. And I must say that Platinum has the best parties (i.e., end of summer, christmas) ever!
Sorry the logo looks kind of bad
I can't figure it out.

My Boys

Last Saturday Jay stopped and bought Jayden a new church outfit because the week before his church pants were totally high waters! I was so embarrassed to see him wear them to church but that's all I had. The boys grow so stinkin fast. One day something will fit then the next time you go to put it on them it is too small. Well on Sunday Grandma wasn't at church to see Jayden's new suit. As soon as we got home from church Jayden told me that he wanted to go down to Grandma's house and show her how handsome he was. So when we went down there we had Karen take pictures of us.
Well Colton was a little upset that he didn't get a new suit. So I gave in and bought him a suit that matches Jayden. When I showed it to him he told me "that's perfect mom". He was so ecstatic. He will get to wear it this Sunday and I will take a picture again.
I am so blessed to have such loving boys (most of the time). I love them and they do catch me off guard at times by the things they say.

You can kind of see my new super cute Modbe dress
that I got for only $5. Thanks Lara!

Uncle Dane

The boys were so excited when Dane suprised us with an unexpected visit. The boys had so much fun playing with him while he was here. They played NERF wars, X-box, Wii, etc. They were sad to see him go. Uncle Dane told them that they need to come see him in Alaska. I don't think that will be possible for a while.

The Tall Ones

The Durrants really make me feel short! Go figure my husband is the tallest out of the bunch. But I love them anyways.

Pet Therapy

If you know me you know that I am a softy. Jay says I started out like a marshmallow but I have now turned into marshmallow cream. I also love all animals. Jayden tells everyone he meets that I am an "animal lover".While we were in New Jersey for the summer a couple of my cats had kittens. When I got home a few of them had died. Well I found two of them. We called one of them left ear because his right ear was a lot shorter than his left ear. I found a good home for him and gave him to a gal I work with. He fit right in and they just love him.
There was another kitten that I found that I didn't even know existed. When I first tried to catch her she freaked out and attacked me. Well Jay named her Taz because she freaked out like the Tasmanian Devil. Long story short, I brought her in the house because of the cold winter weather. She now is a house cat because she is my pet therapy.
